New York...Seoul...

Some of you would have known that I am back even before this post as you might have seen me hosting Beast's events. It was really tiring hosting and trying to do simple translation for the boys at 4 different events. But the boys are really professional and charismatic, I have to admit I am a fan now. Haha.

A week after I came back from New York, I'm off to Seoul. This trip is for my second Korea travel book. It has been a very fruitful trip, I actually visited about 100 shops I shortlisted during my research in 7 days! Very productive isn't it? I also did quite a bit of shopping, really loved the sandals in Korea and I bought 3 pairs! If you happen to go shopping at retail boutiques in Korea , do bring more cash as most shops offer quite a decent discount when you pay in cash.

Among all the shops I visited during the trip, my favourites are a Korean BBQ shop and book cafe. Apparently So Hee from Wonder Girls frequents the BBQ shop with her dad. Here's a sneak preview - some pictures from the BBQ shop and book cafe.

This is the BBQ shop So Hee and her dad used to frequent. Lovely setting, great food at great prices!

The interior of the book cafe...

For more information and more shops Korean celebrities love, you'll have to wait for my travel book...haha. Sorry for sounding so much like a sales person Will be busy in August and September writing and I hope the book can be sent for printing in early November.

Hi Liyi!

My name is Alina and I'm actually interested in learning korean, but im not sure where i should go to take lessons.

I'm looking for a private tutor, and was wondering if you could teach me?

Hi Alina, there are many schools and community clubs teaching Korean. As for my self, I don't think I am good enough to be a tutor :))

@bhua: you're welcome. There are several language schools you can choose from. For example: Singapore Korean School (At Lim Ah Woo Road), NUS Extension (At Park Mall), Cambridge Languages (Peninsula Plaza)

Hello liyi
